Topping up your meter
With the COVID-19 outbreak, we understand that it can currently be difficult to top up your meter. We want to make this process as simple as possible for you.

If you are self-isolating and have a smart meter, we recommend topping up online or via our app, which is available on Google Play and the Apple Store. You can also text a friend or relative your top up card numbers, so they can top up on your behalf, or call our automated top up line on 0330 0082 138.
If you have a traditional meter that is outside, consider leaving it unlocked if it is safe to do so. Have a list of close friends and family members who can top up on your behalf. We recommend topping up a little more than usual, where possible, so you can top up less frequently.
